The Pyramid
In the ever-changing world that we live in, it is detrimental that the shift in exchange of information, currency, and power are addressed. The Sphere is the New Pyramid. First, the Pyramid scheme as it applies to finance, economies, and exchange of information is no longer relative. This can best be explained by analyzing the Great Pyramids as is pertains to physics. The pyramid is designed to overcome one force and once force only: Gravity. The pyramid is only advantageous in one direction (vertically) and would surely crumble were it placed on any of its other sides. We don’t have to worry about the pyramids moving to far North, East, South, or West because we have no opposition in those directions. The only direction that we have opposition in is down (due to the force of gravity). So, rightfully, that is the only force that the pyramids are designed to overcome. The parallelism can then be drawn between the great pyramids and the “Pyramid Scheme” that is America’s economy and the way that information is exchanged. The primary force that the mass (the people) is subjected to is a vertical force equivalent to that of gravity. 10% control the wealth and the rest of the mass’s fate is determined by what trickles down to the common man. Also, the 10% that control the wealth are supported and held up so high by the Base, the common man, 9 to 5 workers and those in poverty, which makes up the majority of the pyramid. Information is also received in a vertical fashion. We get our news and information from major websites, news channels, and other media outlets. The major media outlets push the information down on us, the everyday people, in a fashion comparable to gravity as I explained before. Ultimately, what is taking place is that a small percent of people are receiving, utilizing, and managing wealth and information and then deciding how, what, and when to push it down on the masses.
The Change
The change that is taking place and that will be pivotal in the shaping of the world in the immediate future is the empowerment of the individual through advances in and the accessibility of technology. First I spoke about vertical exchange, which is the exchange from the top to the bottom. The empowerment of the individual will lead to the takeover of horizontal exchange, which is the exchange of wealth, information, etc. from people you know personally and everyday people. Venues like Facebook, twitter, eBay, etc. Allow for everyday people to become newscasters, journalists, and merchants. For instance, if there is a fee due or a book that must be bought for students at my college, I no longer have to look vertically to the campus website to find out when the fee is due, where I can buy the book, and find more information. I can now look horizontally to other students on Facebook and twitter to not only get the same information but also to get the information from a students perspective who is more likely to have the same interests in mind as myself. The fact that the student has the same interest in mind as myself could lead to information about being excluded from paying the fee, where I can buy the book for cheaper than the school is selling it, etc. This empowers the everyday person, which is what makes up majority of the pyramid, and takes away power from the people at the top of the pyramid who chose to selectively distribute information and resources to their advantage.
Secondly, what this does is transitions us from earthlike conditions to space-like conditions. On earth there is one major force opposing us as a whole, like I said before, and that is gravity. In space however, objects float freely on all axes (multiple axis) and are generally opposed in no direction more than the other. I liken the takeover of horizontal exchange of information to space-like conditions because it makes it so that the president of the United States, a middle class American, and a person in poverty can all access something like Facebook or twitter and give their own rendition of the “news” and what they perceive to be true. the president of the united states, a middle class American, and a person in poverty can all set up an eBay account and become a private merchant. There is a steadily decreasing void and delay in-between when information and privileges are introduced to the elite and the introduction of this info and privileges to the commoners. If we look to space, we see that most all of the masses ARE spherical and this is advantageous for unbiased environments and environments where the subject can flow freely in any direction.
The Sphere
First, it must be stated that the transfer from a pyramid to a sphere will not do away with the elitist regime present in most every system. Instead the “top of the pyramid” will be replaced by the “core of the sphere”. The advantage, is an even distribution of mass and a free flow of information, wealth, and power to and from the core as it is fit for the benefit for the sphere as a whole.
The sphere represents the takeover of horizontal change and is the figure that best allows for movement of info, power, and wealth. As these things are becoming more and more fluid and less and less one-dimensional by the day. Ultimately, whoever is able to master this concept of the sphere and come up with a practical model to apply to our everyday lives and systems that are already in place will be “onto something” to say the absolute least. This introduction, or conversion in some cases, of the spherical system will prove advantageous to anyone who applies it correctly.
